About

The helm, not the autopilot.

A helmsman holds the wheel. Not the crew rowing at random, not the autopilot. In the product you set the course: Helmsman scans, proposes, covers, talks to the broker. The AI, if present, does not pick size and does not fire the order.

The course stays yours

Built for traders who want a simpler day: liquid markets, covered positions, a human yes, the account you already keep.

Why it exists

Because the market is full of naked opinions. Because «I’ll add the stop next» is a sentence accounts remember. Because switching brokers should not mean relearning how to get burned. Because a language model is good at talking and terrible at sizing.

Helmsman is the bridge: scan on liquid names, numbers from the engine, your yes, a covered entry at the venue you connect. In code today: Alpaca (paper) and Tradier (sandbox). Tomorrow the map. Live when it deserves it — not to close a deal.

A project by Antonio Trento. We are in early access: skills and broker connections are moving fast. A practice account, if and when there is one, is for clients.

Marks belong to their owners: they name the venues, they do not imply a partnership. Gold = adapter already in code. The slide shows only retail APIs that fit. Fineco, DEGIRO, Robinhood and the rest without an official trading API stay off it.

Want the loop, not another framework?

We are in early access. Skills and adapters are moving fast: you can pre-register.

Pre-register

Pass-through

We do not decide. We do not execute.

Helmsman is middleware: it translates, vetoes, forwards. The LLM proposes. You confirm. The broker — on your account — is the final executor.

01

The LLM

Not us

Claude or another third-party model can hallucinate, botch the numbers, invent a name. That call is not Helmsman.

02

The bridge

This is us

Routing, rules, covers. If the stop is missing, if size moved, if you did not say yes — the pipe closes. We do not hold your book.

03

The broker

Final executor

Alpaca, Tradier, or the venue you connect. If an order exists, it exists on their book. Helmsman is not your intermediary and not your bank.

If the order exists, it exists on your account, after your yes. Helmsman is the pipe. Not the captain. Not the till.
