Trading can wipe capital. Helmsman is a pipe with rules: it translates, vetoes, forwards. It does not decide. It does not execute. It does not hold your book.
The course stays yours
Updated 25 August 2026
Trading stocks, ETFs and other instruments involves a high risk of loss, including loss of all capital. Markets gap, stops can slip, a venue can reject or delay an order. Nobody — not Helmsman, not a language model, not this site — can take that risk away. You take full responsibility for every operation that passes the bridge, whether you confirmed it or a third-party model generated it.
Helmsman is middleware: routing infrastructure. It translates, filters, forwards. It does not originate the market call. It is not an adviser. It is not the AI. It is not the final executor. If an order exists, it exists on your account at your broker, after your yes. The frame of use lives in Terms.
Not investment advice. Not a personal recommendation. Not an offer of investment services or discretionary management. Not a broker: we do not hold your account, we do not move your book, we do not become your intermediary. The account stays with whoever you already chose.
Not autopilot. Without a human confirm there is no order. After entry Helmsman does not «manage» the position for you. The AI, if present in the product, does not compute size or stops and does not fire the order.
Claude, Cursor or another client talks to a third-party model (Anthropic, OpenAI, others). Those models hallucinate: they invent tickers, botch numbers, treat an «almost» as a yes. Helmsman declines liability for losses born of a model’s misread or a badly invoked tool. The bridge forwards. It does not sign the thesis.
Cover and size rules are a filter, not a policy. A bug, a lag, a timeout can miss a veto. The software is provided as is: no warranty of uptime, latency, or freedom from error. If Anthropic, the client, the broker or the host dies in a crash, Helmsman does not flatten your book for you and does not refund capital.
Broker APIs stay yours. We do not deposit them in a Helmsman database. You are responsible for issuing them with withdrawals disabled and tight limits, and for the machine they run on. A theft on your PC does not become our debt.
When a client is in early access, they operate in paper (practice capital). It is not a button that opens an account. Live comes only if covers, adapters and engagement rules deserve it. Nothing here solicits a live deposit.
Setups, tickers, size and stops shown on the site (SLV, V, WMT and the rest) are illustrative. Past performance, mocks and screenshots do not predict future results. You are responsible for the confirms you give, the account you connect, and the rules of your broker and your country.
Alpaca, Tradier, Interactive Brokers, Directa, Fineco and the other names on the map belong to their owners. Helmsman is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those venues unless a written agreement says otherwise. A logo on the slide is not a partnership. In code today the adapters are Alpaca (paper), Tradier (sandbox), IG (demo) and IBKR (mock). Fineco, DEGIRO, Robinhood and the rest without an official trading API do not run on the slide.
This is a marketing site on GitHub Pages. It does not execute trades. How we handle what you send us: Privacy. Local browser storage: Cookies. Helmsman’s role as a bridge: Terms.

We are in early access. Skills and broker adapters are moving fast. You can pre-register: not a self-serve paper switch.
