Philosophy

The helm, not the autopilot.

A helmsman holds the wheel. Not the crew rowing at random. Not the autopilot. You set the course. Rules steer. If the cover is missing, the manoeuvre is refused.

You are captain. Helmsman holds the helm and refuses the course if the cover is missing.
The metaphor, taken seriously

Five invariants

1. The yes is human. Preview, then confirm. Without you there is no order. A bot that runs while you sleep is another product, with another fate.

2. Covered or nothing. A stop (and a target if the rule calls for one) leaves with the entry. No SIMPLE. No «later». A venue that cannot cover does not get the order.

3. Numbers do not come from chat. Size and stops come from the risk engine on your account. The LLM, if present, reads. It does not number. It does not sign.

4. The account stays yours. We do not become the intermediary. We lengthen a bridge to the broker you already use — Alpaca and Tradier today, the map tomorrow — with that venue’s rules. Helmsman is the pipe. The final executor is the broker.

5. Middleware, not a mandate. We are not the LLM. We are not the venue. We translate, veto, forward. If the order exists, it exists after your yes — and capital risk stays yours.
